Guest Speaker:  Sandi Nizzoli

Topic:  The Genius of Reciprocity In Small Town Marketing

Description: Walk through a story of remembering the foundation of sustainable small town business:  An authentic heart for connection and community.

What Attendees Can Expect to Learn:

  1. Defining terms: Learn what small town reciprocity means and what it doesn’t mean.
  2. How to separate the words reciprocity from marketing: the trend in “reciprocity marketing” is business centric. When we separate the two words, we become community centric.
  3. Small town causality: Some people call it Karma, maybe it’s simply cause and effect.

Speaker Bio:

With 22 years of experience as a small-business owner in Sandpoint, Sandi Nizzoli brings a passion for connection in small town business.

Since 2003, her family has owned a construction business and is proud to be one of a handful who made it through the 2008 economic crash. Additionally, for the past decade Sandi has played a support role to the 30 year old (and the other 3 year old) family restaurants. She helped with the devastating layoffs of their long time employees and helped to keep the restaurant afloat through the trickle effects of COVID and the supply chain and inflation issues that have ensued ever since.

Sandi finds fulfillment in empowering her community through creative solutions by shifting the focus from profit, marketing and “getting more clients/customers,” to connection, authenticity, hard work and willpower. She emphasizes the importance of dispelling the fears of “business in a small town” and instead, prioritizing consistency and creativity.

Sandi happens to also be in her 4th year as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), Certified Herbalist, Functional Hormone Specialist and AIPCC. After supporting over a hundred  clients with their hormone and autoimmune challenges during the last 9 months of 2023, she is taking time out in 2024 to deepen her education in astro-Herbalism (through Evolutionary Herbalism) and enjoying the art of whole-Plant-medicine making.

Outside of work, Sandi is a Momma through and through. She is blessed with a combined family of 8 kids, the kids’partners, a Grand-baby on the way, one cat, a puppy, and a fun and funky husband. Sandi enjoys indulging in hobbies like boating, hiking, herbalism and snow shoeing.
