2025 March Polka Dot Powerhouse Reno/Sparks in person meeting

POSITIVITY - CONNECTION - COLLABORATION - CELEBRATION

Join us for our March lunch meeting as we celebrate and officially "Pass the Torch" to our new Managing Director, Karen Nishimura.  This meeting will mark a new era for the Reno/Sparks chapter, and we cannot wait to share this memorable moment with you.  As we honor the past seven years of growth with former Mananging Director, Laura Watson, we look forward to an exciting future.

Karen joined Polka Dot Powerhouse in 2022 as part of the Central Valley, CA chapter and relocated to Reno in 2023, after a personal tragedy, and immediately jumped into chapter leadership as the chapter Connection Queen, keeping the chapter connected through social media.  With Laura ready to step down to start a new chapter of her life, Karen was eager to step into the Managing Director position.  She has a background in Commercial Lending, but her true passion is philanthropy.  Following her heart and love of wine, she started her wine journey in 2020 as a Wine Rep with ONEHOPE Wine, a Napa Valley wine company based in philanthropy with a portion of all sales donated to non-profits of their customers' choice.  She has a 22-year-old daughter who recently graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Entomology and is currently working as an IT tech on Sacramento.  In her spare time, Karen enjoys spending time with her daughter as well as her Reno family and friends. 

We are so excited to welcome our Regional Manager, Mindy Van Vleet, as our guest speaker for this special meeting.  Mindy oversees half of the chapters both Nationally and Internationally.  She is also credited with bringing Polka Dot Powerhouse to California when she launched her first chapter in Visalia, a little (but growing) town in the heart of the Central Valley.  Thanks to Mindy, California now boasts several chapters in the Bay Area, along the Central Coast and in Southern California with numerous Worldwide members throughout the state.  She and her husband currently reside in Boise. 

In addition to our On-Time and Connect Slip drawings, there will be a special drawing for members and guests who register by February 21st.  Space is limited, so be sure to register early to secure your spot.  Invite your friends and let's celebrate and support each other! Guests are welcome to attend one meeting for free as a non-member.
